Set time limit for disconnected sessions
Symptom
The user desires to have disconnected terminal server sessions automatically logged off after a set amount of time. Disconnected sessions are users who are logged on but not actively using the machine.
Environment
Primary Product Module : Remote Desktop Protocol
Primary Product Version : ALL
Primary Product OS : Windows
Resolution
1. Click on start>run>and type: GPEDIT.MSC
2. Click on the following: User configuration>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Remote Desktop Services>Remote Deskop Services>Session Time limits
3. Click on Set Time Limit Disconnected Sessions
4. Click on Enabled
5. Set the End a disconnected Session to : 1 day
6. After you must run the command "gpupdate /force" in CMD or Powershell
